Comment:

 Correspondence and further investigation has reached a consensus we
 probably have a noise problem in the supply to the sensor.

 The PCI version of CAFE does not exhibit the problem; the identical driver
 is producing different results depending solely upon whether it is running
 on a BTest system or the PCI CAFE implementation.

 So we believe now that this is hardware related.
