La Rioja has chosen to use XOs and did extensive training (Gonzalo Odiard was a part of the training team). Are provinces choosing the hardware they will use? I assume it is the provincial governments, not the educators. I have read their national technology plan and it seems directed at the secondary schools. Are these netbooks in the primary schools? Perhaps they didn't want to wait for the XO-1.5-HS to be available since Uruguay has a huge order in ahead of them.</div>
<div><br></div><div>As far as I know, not all provinces have done distributions of anything yet. I am working on a request ticket from a teacher in Mendoza province asking about how to get our program. For those that already have Windows machines, it seems to me that encouraging the use of our software via SoaS makes sense. While the XO is a great machine, this is really "an education program." What matters is the constructionist educational philosophy behind the program and SoaS makes it still possible with a netbook.</div>
