It's running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and has a lot of XO-specific software installed.
What accessibility features in Android would allow disabled users to make the best use of this tablet?

I have, in particular, an interest in text-to-speech capabilities in Android. I know someone whose speech has been severely impaired by Parkinson's Disease, and if Android offers an affordable communication solution, I would recommend her purchase of this tablet in a heartbeat. I know that the iPad offers such apps, and that there are ruggedized/bump cases for it; however, we are talking about someone who is on a fixed income; if Android can offer the same capabilities for less money, I'd be willing to suggest the XO Tablet to her instead.
Greetings list members,

Our mailing list for discussing all things related to the
accessibility of the One Laptop Per Child project has had no
substantive traffic for nearly a year. Beyond a little "just
a test" flurry in January, the list has been silent since a
3-message thread on September
27, 2012 about the OpenDyslexic font, which took place 11
months ago (and as is clear from the list
archives, activity has been tapering off since 2007).

Meanwhile every day brings tens of SPAM messages that collect in the
list filter, waiting for me to periodically wade through them and
clear them out.

Therefore I propose that we close this mailing list down.
Alternatively, if someone else would like to take over maintenance
(and SPAM filter clearing), I would be happy to pass the baton.

Regards,
