With thanks to those who responded to my earlier post about screen readers on the OLPC. I'm interested in low-cost accessible mobile platforms such as the OLPC and similar 'Netbook' style machines, and I'm wondering if there are any options which would allow me as a blind user, to connect this type of machine to a mobile broadband network, i.e. a cellular rather than a Wi-Fi network?

I'm aware of an increasing number of USB dongles which allow Windows machines to connect to these networks, but am not currently aware of any that work with Linux, and suspect that even if I found such a thing, it might have a client application which would not be accessible to me.

Many thanks, and apologies if this is considered off topic for this list.
