Hi! I've been playing with the Talkntype activity and I love it.
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/TalknType
I am not a coder. This is a disclaimer. I didn't know Linux from,
well, anything a few weeks ago. I think this could be done fairly
simply, though...
What I need, more than anything, is a talking word processor for my
XO. Not the traditional screenreader, but something that would echo
each keystroke, and then, after a space, echo the word. That would be
SO MUCH HELP for some of the kids with learning disabilities that I
work with.
To see an example, check out http://www.rjcooper.com/thunder-rj/index.html
Is this possible using the sugar-speechd thingy that I have to run to
get talkntype to work?
Thanks
Lesley
